  • Nap26 (here's hoping!)

I've always been a sleeper and a napper.  I'd take naps whenever I could, and while pregnant I took naps most days.  I've adjusted to D's erratic sleeping patterns surprisingly well, but of course I still feel exhausted most of the time.  Unfortunately since D's naps are also still quite short (about 45 minutes) I don't feel I can try to take any sort of a decent nap while he sleeps, partially b/c I don't want to risk waking up all groggy and then having to go entertain him while fighting through a sleep fog.  So I've said goodbye to naps lately for the most part.

Which is why I was so intrigued when I read this blog post about a product called Nap26.  It's a 26 minute long audio track that you listen to as you nap, that claims to use "Binaural Beat Technology to train the brain to relax and to awaken without risk of grogginess" and make you feel like you took a 3 hour nap in just 26 minutes.

Tell me that doesn't sound WAY too good to be true.

I did a bit of googling and I found a bunch of rave reviews... and not a single negative experience.  I'm guessing either the company has a bunch of people working around the clock to post great reviews about their own product (and hide bad ones), or this thing really does work.

So.  I figured I'd give it a shot.  What the heck, right?  I've been sleep deprived for the past 5 months, it'd be nice to get a bit of help.  At first I thought I would be able to just download the audio through iTunes, but alas I guess it's a CD that I have to order through the mail.  So I paid my $23.00 (including handling-- shipping was FREE, even out here to Switzerland, which shocked me), and now I wait for this wonder product to arrive and give me a sleep boost.

Have any of you had any experiences with Nap26, or know anyone who did?
